Here I will discuss some basic aspects of search engine optimization.It is often about modifications on parts of your websites.when viewed individually,these changes are improvements,but when these are combines with other optimizations,you can see the impact on user experience and organic search results.It is about putting your site’s best foot forward when it comes to visibility in search engines,but your  consumers are users not search engines.
SEO BASICS :-
1.       Create unique, accurate page titles.It tells the search engine as well as users what the topic of a particular page is.It comes under <head> tag.
2.       Avoid choosing a title not related to content.
3.       Choose accurate and short title related to content.
4.       Avoid lengthy title,google will show only a portion of that title.
5.       Page titles are important aspects of search engines.
6.       A Page Description is the summary of the webpage.it may be of 1 or 2 lines or a small paragraph.It is placed in <head> tag of html documents.
7.       Merits of description meta tags :- Description tag is important because google use them as snippets for your pages.May be google choose to use a relevant section of your pages visible text as snippets if it does a good job of matching up with user’s query.It depends on the user’s query .May be a deeper page with unique description meta tag is used as snippets.
8.       Snippet :- Text displayed beneath the title of a corresponding webpage on the search results page of a search engine.A webpage summary or the part of content of  the page that match the search keywords will be displayed.
9.       ODP(Open Directory Project) :- The world’s largest volunteer run web directory .(A list of internet links collected on the large scale and then organized.)
10.   Avoid for writing description :- Don’t write description that has no relation with content.
11.   Don’t use only keywords in description
12.   Copying and pasting whole content of webpage in description meta tag
13.   Use unique description meta tags for each webpages.
